Photo Contest Rules

1. Who runs the contests

The photo contests on crawlwith.us are run by Entertainment Factory, LLC dba Crawl With US, St. Paul, Minnesota ("Crawl With US", "we"). Questions: support@crawlwith.us.

These rules are part of our Terms of Use (crawlwith.us/terms). Where the two differ, these rules apply to the photo contests.

2. Who can take part

You must be 21 or older and live in the United States. Crawl With US employees, event staff and photographers, and the people they live with, may take part but may not win.

3. It's free

There is no fee to enter a photo, vote, or tag yourself. You need a free Crawl With US account: your name, email and mobile number, confirmed by a text code. One account per person.

4. How photos are entered

• You can submit your own photos on your city's album page while submissions are open.
• Photos taken by our event photographers are entered automatically.
• Each album is one city, one theme and one year, and its photos must come from that event.

5. Your photo

By submitting a photo you confirm that:

• you took it, or you have the right to share it;
• everyone who can be recognized in it is OK with it being posted;
• it meets the Content Standards in our Terms of Use.

You give Crawl With US the license described in our Terms of Use to use it, including to promote our events.

6. We can decline or remove any photo

Every photo is reviewed before it appears. At our sole discretion, at any time and for any reason, Crawl With US may:

• decline, remove or edit (for example crop or brighten) any photo;
• remove any tag or any hearts;
• disqualify any photo, account or person.

This includes after voting has started or ended. A removed photo's hearts no longer count, and it cannot win.

7. Voting

Sign in, then heart your favorite photos while voting is open: one heart per photo per account, and you can heart as many different photos as you like. Voting dates are shown on each album, and we may change or extend them.

We may remove hearts, and disqualify the photos they went to, if they come from:

• duplicate or fake accounts;
• bots or other automated means;
• buying, selling or trading votes;
• any other attempt to game the vote.

8. How the winner is picked

When voting closes, the photo with the most hearts wins. On a tie, the photo that reached that number of hearts first wins. Winners are announced on the album page.

National final: where a national final is offered, each city's winning photo with at least one heart goes through. Hearts start again from zero, and the same rules pick the national winner.

9. The prize goes to the group in the winning photo

Each album shows its prize. The prize belongs to the people in the winning photo who tagged themselves with "I'm in this photo" before tagging closed. Someone who submitted the photo but is not in it does not share the prize.

• Cash prizes are split evenly between those people.
• Ticket prizes go to each of them: for example, a free ticket to a future crawl for every person tagged.

We may ask each person to show they are in the photo (for example with a photo ID), and we may remove any tag that is not genuine. Each person must answer our message within 14 days, or their share is forfeited.

Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winners pay any taxes on their prize; anyone whose share is $600 or more must give us a completed IRS Form W-9 before payment.

10. Publicity

Except where the law does not allow it, winners agree that Crawl With US may use their first name, city and winning photo to announce and promote the contest, without further payment.

11. Changes

If fraud, technical problems or anything else outside our control affects a contest, we may change, pause, extend or cancel it. We may also update these rules; the version posted when an album's voting closes applies to that album.

12. The rest

Taking part means you release Crawl With US from claims arising from the contest or a prize, except where the law does not allow that. Minnesota law governs these rules. The contest is void where prohibited. It is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Facebook, Instagram or any other social network.
